Patrice Marandel is the curator emeritus of European art at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, mounting key exhibitions on Caravaggio, Dürer and Cranach, among others during his tenure between 1993 and 2017. He has also held curatorial positions at the Detroit Institute of Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. A native of Paris, he resides in Los Angeles.

James M. Bradburne is the Director General of the Pinacoteca di Brera and Biblioteca Braidense in Milan. Prior to taking up this appointment in 2015, he was the Director General of the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi for eight years. Besides his work on exhibitions and museums, he writes about the history of art, science and technology, as well as gastronomy and children’s stories.
